Metastatic breast cancer is Stage IV cancer that has spread to another part of the body, most commonly the liver, brain, bones, or lungs.1 Nearly 6% of newly diagnosed breast cancer patients are Stage IV at initial diagnosis.2 Approximately 30% of people who are diagnosed with early stage breast cancer will develop metastatic breast cancer.
